Napoleon M485RB Mirage Review
If you love to cook and invite friends and family on different dinners or parties from time to time, then you might as well have a great grill to do the cooking job. Mostly grills from Napoleon are quite expensive; however the M485RB Mirage comes at somewhat ‘reasonable’ price.
Napoleon produces some of the best grills out there and if you go for it, you won’t regret spending some dollars for a quality grill. It has 485 sq. inch of primary cooking space and 190 sq. inch of secondary cooking space/warming rack which amounts to total of 675 sq. inch of cooking space.
The grill is equipped with rod cooking grates made of heavy stainless steel however Napoleon did its best to keep the weight down. It comes with 3 stainless steel tubular burners of 16,000 BTU whereas the main burners give maximum output of 48,000 BTU. Napoleon has also added a rear infrared burner with output of 13,500 BTU to the grill; however the rotisserie kit has to be bought separately.
The infrared technology is becoming quite famous as the food cooked on it has unmatched taste and high quality. The four casters help you to move the grill easily and they also come with Easy Roll locking.
It ensures sure that once you’ve selected a spot for the grill it doesn’t keeps on moving and make cooking difficult. The JetFire ignition system of Napoleon works like a charm and lights up your burner easily. Moreover, the Accu-Probe’s temperature gauge on its roll top lid helps you to maintain and set the temperature of the burners as you want.
During night times you can conveniently see its backlit control knobs. You can also save important cooking related material in its storage space and it remains safe because of 2 stainless steel doors and for more storage you can also find condiment trays with tool hooks.
M485RB comes with stainless steel Wave rod cooking grids. Moreover, the firebox is properly insulated and does its best to cook the food. However sometimes it leaves hot and cold spots on the food and you might have to bear some flare-ups as well. To clean it up easily, Napoleon has added a removable drip pan.
